Tekai Elijah Key (born November 19, 2004), professionally known as Lil Tony Official, is an American recording artist and producer from Atlanta, Georgia.

Growing up in Atlanta, Lil Tony has cited his father as one of his greatest mentors in navigating the street life. In a January 2023 interview with DGB Media, Tony mentioned how basketball and YouTube content creation were some of his hobbies before he got expelled from school.

Lil Tony officially began his music career in late-2020 with the release of “Scorpio Szn,” a seven-track EP exclusive to his Spotify.

Lil Tony first gained attention following the release of his March 2022 track “Quagen” featuring frequent collaborator ProfitChild. In a January 2023 interview with DGB Media, Tony explained his initial reaction to the hype around “Quagen”:

Really, I wasn’t surprised. Like, when I had made that song, that little— I had made an open for [ProfitChild]; I made that beat, everything. I was like, “I'ma make this beat, I'ma send it to [ProfitChild].

In mid-2022, Lil Tony released “Baby Drill Flow,” with its official music video gaining over one million views on YouTube. The track continued gaining traction on social media, landing him a deal with Priority Records in May of 2023.

On May 12, 2023, Lil Tony released TKEY, a twelve-song record featuring songs like “Tried Me,” “Gen 5,” and “Billie Jean.” The music videos for “Tried Me” and “Gen 5” later went on to reach one million views.

Lil Tony would see his biggest success in June 2023 with the release of “3AM”, which amassed over seven million streams on Spotify and two million streams on SoundCloud. Tony closed out 2023 with his album 2 Sides 2 Every Story, which was well received by fans. Around this time, Lil Tony became known for his creative use of samples, flipping songs like “Tek It” by Cafune and the title theme from The Legend of Zelda into hard trap records.

In 2024, Lil Tony began releasing compilation albums of both throwaway and fan-favorite songs on Spotify, starting with Lil Tony Archive: Vol. 1 in April. Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 would follow shortly after, along with an appearance on Alabama rapper Yhapojj’s single “SSwerve Geeked.” Vol. 3 led with “Im Da Man,” which blew up on social media due to its feature of ten-year-old Atlanta native Lil RT.

Lil Tony dropped his final album of 2024, Taken For Ransom, on June 28. Lil Tony’s streaming releases saw a pause until January 17, 2025, with the release of Love Or Death.
