AKA: Lathan Moses Stanley Echols, Mosey Bout Tha Bag, 1320 Mosey, Mosey, Bandkid Mosey, Lathan Echols, Lathan Moses Echols

Lathan Moses Stanley Echols (b. January 25, 2002), better known by his stage name Lil Mosey, is a rapper from Seattle, Washington.

Echols first garnered buzz via SoundCloud and Instagram with a string of singles. He first started to make noise with his song “Pull Up,” but the track’s success was soon eclipsed by “Noticed.” The popularity of these songs among others landed him a spot as an opener on his label-mate Juice WRLD’s WRLD Domination tour, and a record deal with Interscope in 2018.

In October 2018, Mosey’s first commercial mixtape Northsbest was released (not to be confused with his 2017 mixtape NorthsBest, which shares the same name).

November 2019 saw the release of his debut studio album, Certified Hitmaker. The album was then re-released the following February after the long-awaited release of “Blueberry Faygo,” which would go on to become Mosey’s first Billboard top 10 hit. The 20-track deluxe, Certified Hitmaker (AVA Leak), released in August 2020.

Mosey claims to be inspired by Philly rapper Meek Mill, and that one can hear the influence of OVO artist Drake’s sound in his music.

In 2020, Mosey and fellow rapper and friend Bandkidjay would be accused of rape, but the two would be found not guilty in early 2023.
