Shannon Juwan Adams (born January 8, 1998), better known by his stage name Lil Boom, is a rapper, singer, and producer from Orlando, Florida.

He initially started making music in 2015, but wouldn’t gain much traction. This changed however on May 13, 2016 with the release of Boom’s breakout viral song, “Fuck Steph Curry.” He followed up this songs success with the release of his first mixtape, Who Is Lil Boom, on June 8, 2016. He released another mixtape just a month later with NAMEK.

Lil Boom would find more success going into 2017, releasing more viral songs such as “Milf Next Door” and “Sad Nigga Hours” featuring 904TEZZO. He continued into 2018 with more viral singles, such as “Kimono” with DBangz and “Ascended” with Lil Barnacle. With continues viral hit songs within the meme rap world, Lil Boom solidified himself not only as one of the pioneers of the meme rap subgenre, but as a fighting figure of the rising Florida rap scene.

Boom started off 2019 with the release of his third mixtape, Hentai Haven. Only releasing a couple of singles in between, he followed up Hentai Haven on September 20, 2019 with his next mixtape, Soul Eater.

Lil Boom saw his first glance at mainstream success in the beginning 2020 when his song “Already Dead” went viral on the video making platform TikTok, two years after its initial release. The instrumental, produced by ​deadman 死​人, would spawn over 600,000 videos across the platform. The songs success lead him to a record deal with 10K Projects worth over six figures, effectively getting himself and his family out of poverty. He released his first single under the label “crying in da club” on April 20, 2020, closely following it with “Kill Sephiroth” just a few months later.

Boom started off 2021 with the release of his debut studio EP, ODESSA’S GARDEN, on January 8, 2021. This EP included the fan favorite songs such as “violet evergarden” and “an evil witches love spell.” A month later he released another mixtape under the alter-ego Lil Aids titled From Heaven, to You. It featured almost thirty throwaway songs for his fans.

After releasing a few more singles, on December 10, 2021, Lil Boom released his debut studio album, The End Of The World. It featured many guest verses from good friend 904TEZZO and the legendary Masafumi Gotoh.

After a slow 2022, Lil Boom released his sixth mixtape, COLORFUL, fulfilling his contract with 10K Projects and becoming an independent artist once again.

Starting off 2023 with the independent release of “100 Grand!,” Lil Boom would take a step back from music, choosing instead to pursue streaming where he saw decent success. He was also apart of good friend DJ Akademiks‘ The Akademy.

Everything would come to a halt at the beginning of 2024 when it was revealed that Lil Boom was previously arrested in September of 2021 for groping multiple women, including underage girls, inside of a Walmart. Boom would deny everything, however there is security camera footage proving his actions.

Although having faced severe backlash for his heinous crimes, Boom returned on April 8, 2025 with the release of his next project, Uchi World. He continues to stream on various streaming platforms.
