Libido is a Peruvian rock band formed in 1996. They made it mainstream off the success of their first self-titled studio album Libido including hit singles “Como un perro”, “Sed” and “Ojos de angel”.

After their success with debut album, started to working with Sony Music for the second studio album Hembra released in 2000, produced by Tweety González, recorded in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hembra has spawned the singles “En esta habitación”, “Tres”, “Respirando” and “No voy a verte más”.

On October 2002 Libido was awarded with “Best Artist – Southwest” at the first annual MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica, and one year later they won “Best Artist – Central” category at MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica 2003, among the nominees were artists: Aterciopelados, Juanes, La Ley and Los Prisioneros.

Pop*Porn is their third studio album, released in 2002, with the production of Duane Baron, which included the singles “Frágil” and “No será lo mismo sin ti”.

The band started a new stage with a change inside the group, the departure Jeffry Fischman for personal reasons, marks the entry of Iván Mindreau, for the new production instead of the rock sound that made Libido famous, for their new recording the band makes musical fusions without leaving aside the rock that characterizes them, Lo último que hablé ayer released three singles “Culpable”, “Lonely” and “Nicotina”.

For their last major production Un día nuevo they had the pre-production with Tweety González, Duane Baron as producer recording at Los Angeles, with just two singles “Nadie sabe lo que vendra” and “Malvada”.

Libido has been recognized across Peru as one of the best rock bands nationwide, they have participated in hundreds of music festivals, in addition to individual presentations throughout the country, they have been invited to major festivals in countries such as Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, United States.
