Lester Nowhere
AKA: Arturo Fratini
Lester Nowhere, stage name of Arturo Fratini (Prato, January 14th 1998), is an Italian producer.
During middle school, his newborn love for hip hop led him to start making beats—a passion he fully devoted himself to after finishing high school.
He has released numerous beat tapes both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other beatmakers, including Italian lo-fi veterans o k h o and Saito. Some of his beats have reached millions of plays on streaming platforms.
In 2019, he released High Stakes, Low Ryder, an experimental trap/hip-hop project themed around GTA San Andreas, created in collaboration with London rapper Lord Apex and with o k h o, and released by the web label Radio Juicy.
In 2020, he began working with the Italian label Pluggers, producing two singles for BigMama: “May Day” and “Formato XXL”. The beatmaker also caught the attention of Egreen, earning a spot on the mixtape I SPIT Vol. 2 with the beat for “Jonah Lomu”.
That same year, he produced almost the entirety of Fiato, the album by fellow Prato-based rapper Grinta.
In 2021, he collaborated again with Lord Apex, this time alongside Lil B, appearing on the international compilation Gangster Doodles Vol 2 with “Bush To Berkeley”.
In 2022, he contributed to the production of three tracks on the album Cristi e Diavoli by Lovegang126. Still connected to the Roman scene, he produced three tracks on the album Andata e Ritorno by Gianni Bismark and RXX/R1 by Side Baby.
In summer ‘23 he strived to give a CD to Kanye West while he was in Florence, and was then invited to join the YEEZY music team. Lester co-produced two tracks on both VULTURES albums by Ye and Ty Dolla $ign: “SLIDE” and “KING”. There are also many more unreleased demos and leaks featuring his production.
