Left Dead On Beach
Emerging with its 2019 debut project, Cabana, Left Dead on Beach is a genre-bending rock band that combines progressive metal with hip-hop, pop, and electronic sensibilities. The three-piece group includes lead guitarist Brandon Roberge (aka Eko), vocalist and producer Joel Monet, and bassist Zarutt Malai.
From the Spotify “About” section:
Spanning thousands of miles and a plurality of continents, Left Dead On Beach have scoured the earth in search of the most elusive and precious melodic and contrapuntal ore. From those many pitfalls and triumphs rises a sonic force that don’t take no shit from nobody. Zarutt and Eko hail from the cities of angels, Bangkok and Los Angeles respectively. Joel Monet landed in Huntsville, AL a year ago and has been setting off tremors in the underground ever since. Though Left Dead On Beach would not exist without the miracles of technology, this music is written with the sole purpose of inspiring an organic response from its intent listeners. Full of easter eggs and hidden treasure from far away places and aeons past, Cabana was forged over the course of a tumultuous year and built upon the shifting sands of what’s happening now and in anticipation of what’s yet to come. Will the house of cards collapse? Will some hitherto unknown unifying structure prevail and make sense of it all? Is the tooth fairy even real?
