You’d forgive Lakshane for thinking that his music career had peaked back in 2013, when he was a finalist in Sri Lanka’s English Music Competition TNL Onstage. He returned to Australia in 2014 after 7 years and made a push towards studying to become a doctor, but it never quite sat right. After taking a hiatus and finishing his undergraduate degree, Lakshane released his single ‘Don’t Lie’ at the end of 2017 which turned heads in the Melbourne music scene. To capitalize on the momentum of the track, Lakshane spent the next 4 years honing his sound, which mixes alternative R&B with streaks of trap and dark pop to capture the mood of a late night drive.
He’s looking forward to expanding his creativity, surprising fans with the sounds he’s producing, and connecting with listeners across the planet.
