Kvalia formed in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk by Aleksander Maznichenko and Victor Oleynik, developed into a full-scale musical group in 2015 as Aleksey Danilenko joined the band. Their style verges towards lo-fi, noisy post-punk music intensified by transcendent poetry occasionally drawing inspiration from occult science.
