Jasmine Guiang, who goes by the stage name “kuala”, is an 18-year-old indie Filipino artist from SoCal. She produces and writes all of her songs and greatly enjoys playing the guitar alongside her singing. Her debut single, “dinner date”, released on April 20th, 2024, marking the beginning of a beautiful music career. Following lighthearted promotions on TikTok and positive feedback from her debut, she followed the release with a second single “Take A Walk” on May 20th, 2024, and then her first EP “WAVES” two months later on July 29th, 2024.
After her debut EP, she continued to release several other singles, and her debut mini album finally came on August 12, 2025, titled “SWEETHEART” and consisting of 7 tracks. She has greatly grown in popularity since her debut, reaching over 200k monthly Spotify listeners and 15k Spotify followers in late 2025.
