Kompakt Records is a German record label, one of the most famous in the techno scene. It is also a well-known distributor of electronic music (both on vinyl and CD). Kompakt was founded in 1998 on the basis of the pre-existing Profan and Auftrieb labels. The owners of Kompakt Records are Wolfgang Voigt, Michael Mayer and Jürgen Paape.
