Kiraplus
Kiraplus (born October 25, 2004) is an American recording artist from the South Bronx, New York, known for blending melodic trap, rage, and rock-influenced energy with a developing “alien” narrative.
In an online interview with a now-inactive Instagram promotional page, the South Bronx native explained the origins of his stage name. The “LUV” element originated from Life Under Vain, the first music collective he was part of, formed alongside his close collaborator LuvBenji. As Kiraplus recalled, the name came naturally through their creative bond rather than intention. The name “Kira” was inspired by one of his favorite anime series, referencing a main character he strongly related to due to themes of intelligence, foresight, and operating a step ahead of those around him. The “Plus” symbolizes constant growth, positivity, and progression — whether in confidence, consistency, or artistic evolution.
Kiraplus began making music casually during his sophomore year of high school in 2021 under the moniker LuvBreezo!, after being inspired by the music of his online friend LuvBenji. Shortly after, the two officially formed Life Under Vain (LUV) alongside fellow rapper TeeWhy, marking Kiraplus’s first serious step into music. His earliest official release, “Bad Girl,” emerged from this era and introduced his melodic sensibility and experimental instincts.
In January 2025, Kiraplus released his debut EP Storms, a melodic project that documented emotional instability, heartbreak, and early personal growth. The project laid the foundation for his evolving sound and narrative direction. From there, his music expanded into more conceptual territory, incorporating alien and Martian imagery, persona-driven storytelling, and genre-blending experimentation across subsequent releases such as Pink Thoughts, The Void Tape, Project Plus, and Red & Blue Pill.
As his catalog grew, Kiraplus introduced multiple personas — including darker, more aggressive, joyful and gender fluid extensions of himself — allowing him to explore rage, rock influence, and identity fragmentation while remaining rooted in melodic structure. Today, Kiraplus continues to push boundaries within the underground scene, merging sound, story, and aesthetic into an ever-expanding creative universe.
