Kenndog

AKA: Kenneth Deshon Mcclain Jr.

Kenneth Deshon Mcclain Jr. (born September 6, 1999), better known by his stage name Kenndog, is a rapper from the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.

Ken started releasing music as early as 2020, with his first EP Year of the Dog releasing on March 1st. This project featured the track “Drip Like Me,” which went on to become Ken’s breakthrough song. It quickly went viral on TikTok and landed him a deal with Atlantic Records.

After a period of silence, Kenndog returned on June 11, 2021 with the track “Beethoven.” Similarly to “Drip Like Me,” this song went viral on TikTok, becoming even bigger than it’s predecessor. Ken followed up this success by continuing to release singles, with tracks such as “Rumble” and “Big Dog” following thereafter.

2022 would be a bit slower for Kenndog as he only released a couple of singles throughout the year, such as April’s “DooWop” and June’s “Fresh Prince of the East Side.” Ken ended off 2022 with “This Christmas” on December 7th. This marked the end of his time with Atlantic Records, making him an independent artist once again.
