Ken Domash

AKA: Kenny D

Ken didn’t grow up with music in his life… In second grade his music teacher told him to be quiet and get in the back. He did and stayed quiet and in the back his whole life when it came to music…

Until one day, he was invited to a neighbor’s wedding and reception. It turns out he and his wife were one of only two couples invited. The family of the groom had flown in from Ireland and did things a little differently… They began to sing and brought out their guitars – they made quite a scene. The mother of the groom insisted that Kenny sing a song along with them… Very reluctantly, Ken sang an Elvis song. The mother of the groom looked at him, and in a very sincere manor, told him he was good and “should sing”. It went straight to his heart. He wanted this for his family and wanted others to feel what he had experienced that night.

That’s what it took…

He bought a guitar, literally the very next day. It was a damaged cut away Seagal in the store window. A few years later, he began playing at a local pub in lieu of practicing at home… On one very cold night, the restaurant outdoor enclosure was too cold to play… So, Ken played acoustic inside with a handful of folks – just like at the wedding reception. One of the songs brought a tear to a man, who said, “you should record your songs…” Another, suggested they all pool their moneys to send Kenny too Nashville to record.

Again, that’s what it took…

So, Ken went to Nashville to record. He’s worn a path to Nashville ever since… January of 2010 is the release of his first studio album COUNTRIFIED. The album finds inspiration from BB King, Keith Urban and Johnny Cash… Artist like Nirvana, Kid Rock, ACDC, Lynard Skinard and of coursed Elvis all went with him to Nashville – in his head. Kenny really hopes you let the music in and that you’re inspired to find a way to the front row of your dreams. Maybe the music is what it’ll take…?
