Kemar Stewart, (born 4 January 1990) better known as stage name KayMatters, is a British MC from South London.

Coming from humble beginnings, (a Jamaican heritage) growing up most of the music played his house were either Reggae and Soul until he started listening Rap and Hip-Hop within his environment.

In 2011, he attended a studio in Surrey, GB to work on a project ‘Nunication’ and in the process learnt that he had a passion for music and continued to perfect his craft. In 2013, KayMatters invested in his own studio equipment and formed his own studio.

Since then, he has released bodies of work such as ‘Thirst for More’ (in 2014) which is a free download on DatPiff, Hoodtapes.co.uk and ‘As A Matter of Fact’ EP (in 2015) which was his first official release on all digital outlets (i.e. iTunes, Spotify).

In 2017, he released his next project ‘Thirst for More 2’ which got a great reception for it’s creativity and energetic sound to the project. From then on, he started to get more recognition.

In 2019, he released independently his debut album ‘I Got the Memo’ which embodies thought-provoking, compelling stories and a raw and refreshing sound. There was instant success with new supporters and having replay value.
