KARD (카드) is a South Korean co-ed group under DSP Media consisting of B.M, J.Seph, Somin, and Jiwoo. The group officially debuted on July 19, 2017, with their first mini album, Hola Hola. Before their official debut, KARD introduced themselves through a series of pre-debut project singles that quickly attracted both domestic and international attention.

Their first pre-debut single, “Oh NaNa,” was released on December 13, 2016, and became an immediate success online, surpassing 1 million YouTube views within just three days. The group’s rapid rise earned them a spot on Billboard’s “10 Best New K-pop Groups of 2016,” an impressive achievement considering they had been active for little more than a week at the time.

KARD is considered to be one of the most successful co-ed groups in K-pop. While previous co-ed acts struggled to find long-term commercial success, KARD built a dedicated international fanbase before officially debuting, embarking on tours across North and South America during their pre-debut period.

Throughout their career, the quartet has become known for blending EDM, tropical house, moombahton, Latin pop, hip-hop, and R&B into a distinctive sound that sets them apart from most idol groups.

The name KARD (an alternative spelling of Card) reflects the members’ individual card identities: King (B.M), Ace (J.Seph), Black Joker (Somin), and Color Joker (Jiwoo). Together, they complete the group’s signature card-deck concept, which has remained a defining part of KARD’s identity since debut.

On July 6, 2026, DSP Media announced that KARD would conclude their group activities following the release of their eighth mini album, Where to Now? (Part.2): Nowhere, and the completion of their accompanying world tour. The announcement marked the end of the group’s nearly nine-year journey, bringing to a close one of K-pop’s most successful and enduring co-ed acts.
