Kaduatán
Kaduatán is a prog rock musical project of the conlanger John Quijada.
It derives from John’s artistical experimentation with his constructed language, Ithkuil. From March to June 2014, he wrote Ithkuil lyrics to some prog rock songs he composed during late 2013 and early 2014, in order to explore Ithkuil for (quasi-)poetic purposes. In 2016 the songs were completed and published on YouTube as an eponym album, sang by John’s friend David J. Peterson (himself a conlanger too, inventor of Dothraki and Valyrian languages for the “Game of Thrones” TV series). The songs are also accompanied with original music videos made by John’s twin brother Paul.
A translation and morphological analysis of the Ithkuil lyrics is available on the Texts page of the Ithkuil website.
“Kaduatán” is itself an Ithkuil word, meaning “Wayfarers” in English.
