K3

K3 is a beloved Belgian-Dutch girl group known for their vibrant pop songs, colorful style, and family-friendly appeal.

The original line-up included Karen Damen, Kristel Verbeke, and Kathleen Aerts, who launched their first single “Wat ik wil” in 1997, but it was their breakout hit “Heyah Mama” later that year that made them household names. Their album “Alle Kleuren” and follow-up hits like “Tele-Romeo” and “Oya Lélé” cemented their status as pop icons for children and families across the Netherlands and Belgium.

IIn 2009, Kathleen Aerts left the group and was replaced by Josje Huisman, winner of the competition K2 zoekt K3. With this line-up, they continued their success with albums such as “MaMaSé!” and “Eyo!” that topped the charts and introduced a new generation to their music.

In 2015, all three original members retired and were succeeded by Hanne Verbruggen, Klaasje Meijer, and Marthe De Pillecyn, selected through K3 zoekt K3. Their debut album together, “10.000 luchtballonnen”, broke records and quickly became one of their most successful releases.

In 2021, Julia Boschman replaced Klaasje Meijer after winning the show K2 zoekt K3, joining Hanne and Marthe in the current line-up. Their first single together, “Waterval”, became a huge success and symbolized the fresh start for the new formation. More recently, their 2025 summer single “Goden” has become one of the trio’s best-known hits, earning a nomination for the prestigious Zomerhit award for the first time in nine years and reaffirming K3’s ability to connect with both young fans and older generations.
