jxpiterr
Joseph Renard Martin Jr. (born February 6th, 2007), professionally known as jxpiterr (pronounced “Jupiter”), is an American recording artist from Atlanta, Georgia. He has carved out his own lane with a futuristic sound that blends experimental melodies and hard-hitting beats.
He cites trailblazers like Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Ken Carson, and Young Thug as influences. jxpiterr channels that energy into a style that’s both chaotic and melodic, rage-filled yet emotionally resonant. Known for his versatility, he constantly shifts flows and sonic textures, refusing to be boxed in.
According to jxpiterr, he began creating music when he was just ten years old. He would post covers of songs by various artists including Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Trippie Redd, and Juice WRLD to his YouTube account. He spent the first few years of his career refining his craft, which eventually led to the release of his debut single, “2HIGHUP!”, on October 15th, 2021. The track was originally intended to be the first promotional single for A Trip 2 Jupiter (the original title of jxpiterr’s debut mixtape). However, the project was ultimately scrapped and never saw an official release. Several songs from the original project have surfaced online throughout the years, but as of 2026, the remaining songs are widely considered lost.
After a short, 3-song single run that spanned from October 2021 to May 2022 (“GUAPANESE”, “p*nkstar”, and “CHUN LI (featuring JB B3LL)”) , jxpiterr’s debut mixtape, BLSSM. (pronounced Blossom), officially released on July 1st, 2022. The project featured a very futuristic and melodic sound which would set the tone for jxpiterr’s career. The mixtape would showcase him as a force to be reckoned with in the new underground rap scene.
Following BLSSM., jxpiterr further refined his craft by experimenting with the up and coming rage rap subgenre. The result of this was his second mixtape, February 2023’s WHOISJXPI?. The project also had a deluxe version, WHOISJXPI?+, that officially released on March 31st, 2023 with seven additional tracks. The mixtape featured a darker, more synth-driven sound than jxpiterr’s past work. One highlight of the project is jxpiterr’s rapping ability, which is considered a great improvement compared to his past work. He is heard delivering vocals over glitchy, video game-inspired production.
Keeping the momentum going, jxpiterr went on to release his third mixtape, l!fe in p¡nK*, on October 13th, 2023, just eight months after the release of his last project. This project takes a departure from the dark, aggressive sound of WHOISJXPI? in favor of a slower, calmer sound with more flashy production.
On the project, jxpiterr speaks on more serious and personal topics such as relationship issues and experiences with depression and suicidal ideation. jxpiterr, who was 16 years old at the time of the mixtape’s release, claimed that the creation of the project helped him get through one of the hardest times of his young life. A deluxe version of the album, l!fe in p¡nK*: p¡nKOUT., officially released on November 10th, 2023 with five additional tracks.
Almost immediately following the release of l!fe in p¡nK*: p¡nKOUT., jxpiterr took to his Instagram on November 13th, 2023, in a now deleted post, to announce his retirement from music. However, the retirement was short-lived as he would announce and begin to tease his fourth mixtape, JXPI’S REVENGE III (often referred to as JR3), just three months later in February 2024. The project serves as the third installment in his JXPI’S REVENGE series and is preceded by October 2022’s JXPI’S REVENGE EP and it’s sequel, JXPI’S REVENGE II, which released on May 19th, 2023.
The mixtape was officially released on May 17th, 2024 and sees jxpiterr building on the aggressive, rage-filled sound that was previously heard on WHOISJXPI?. On it, jxpiterr delivers fast-paced, unique flows with interesting and varying vocal inflections. jxpiterr shows off his vast vocal range more on this project than any of his previous ones. A deluxe version of the project was officially released on July 5th, 2024 and contains five additional tracks.
Following a brief hiatus, jxpiterr began to tease at his fifth mixtape, JXPI’S REVENGE IV, in March 2025. JXPI’S REVENGE IV (often referred to as JR4) is the fourth and final installment in jxpiterr’s JXPI’S REVENGE series. The project officially released on May 9th, 2025.
On it, jxpiterr further refines the abrasive, hard-hitting sound of his previous project, while also implementing some EDM influence. The project even features an interlude where jxpiterr repeats his signature ad-libs over a traditional EDM beat (“#SPACESHIPRAVE! (interlude)“). In the back half of the project, jxpiterr speaks on more heartfelt topics such as past relationships, experiences with depression and anxiety, and his personal journey of self-growth.
The project was met with overwhelmingly positive reactions from fans, including the great success of its lead promotional single, “#beLikeMe!”, which received the most opening weekend streams of any single jxpiterr has released. The mixtape’s wide success led to the official release of its deluxe edition, JXPI’S REVENGE IV: Presidential Edition, on July 4th, 2025. The deluxe version added five additional songs to the project’s track list and was also met with positive reactions.
In October 2025, jxpiterr began to tease his debut studio album, beauty is pain.. jxpiterr officially released the album’s first two promotional singles on October 31st, 2025, both of which previewed the main sound of the album. In the following months, jxpiterr would post numerous snippets with an ethereal and orchestral sound on his Instagram and TikTok accounts respectively.
On January 23rd, 2026, jxpiterr officially released the third and final promotional single for the album, “uzii.”. It features a high-energy, synth-driven instrumental with jxpiterr delivering fast-paced, catchy bars.
Two weeks after the release of “uzii.”, jxpiterr’s debut studio album, beauty is pain., would officially release on February 6th, 2026, jxpiterr’s 19th birthday. It features a highly melodic, orchestral, and experimental sound, with inspirations from EDM, trip-hop, and alternative R&B. The sound can closely be described as a refined version of the sound used on his third mixtape, l!fe in p¡nK*.
