Julia Wolf

AKA: Julia Capello

Julia Wolf, also known as “Wolf” in her early years, is a singer-songwriter hailing from Queens, NY. Born into an Italian household, with both parents native Italians, Julia’s heritage often makes appearances in her work. Heavily involved in her musical upbringing, Julia’s father used to pick her up from the studio at 1 a.m., then drive her to the train just a few hours later so they could each get to work. Seeing her relentless schedule, he knew how much music meant to Julia. He believed opening a pizzeria in Italy would leave little room for her dream, so he decided against the move. Julia was furious at the time, but later realized he had made the right choice. Two months later, she met Jackson Foote, one half of the group Loote who would go on to co-write and produce the majority of Julia’s discography.

A prolific lyricist with a unique and captivating tone, began releasing short freestyles and snippets of her music on social media at the end of 2019. Almost immediately, she began garnering heavy buzz from both early adopter fans and industry professionals alike. In just over a year, Julia had accumulated over eighteen million streams and has developed a passionate and rabid fan base, all out of her bedroom in Queens, NY.

Drawing from the hip-hop world and from indie music, Julia seamlessly combines lyrical emphasis from rap music with the natural indie sound of her voice:

I love adding the layers of harmonies, but ultimately, it’s the lyrics. I just want to highlight the lyrics.

In 2021, Julia was chosen as one of the first independent artists to be featured in Spotify’s Fresh Finds program, landing her a billboard in Times Square.

By 2022, Julia had amassed three hundred thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, the independent artist uses her own experiences to fuel her music, connecting with fans in a way that’s unique, radically authentic, and 100% her. In addition, Julia announced her first nationwide tour.

Julia will also be making two appearances in Quinn XCII’s The People’s Tour. She will be opening alongside A R I Z O N A in May, 2023.
