Josh Almendarez, professionally known as JoshIGuess, is a singer-songwriter and engineer born in Lodi, California. In his early years, he lived in Stockton, California.

His early songs were released on SoundCloud and YouTube, collaborating with his childhood best friend Athryn. During the pandemic, he met close collaborators such as AkiraDoves.

Josh has always been kind of a genre hopper, temporarily switching to mainly scenecore after his song “studded belt” gained traction on soundcloud. He personally doesn’t feel this genre showcases his talents enough due to the non seriousness of his vocals, so most projects involving this genre either moved to “follower exclusive” on soundcloud or on his alt account “joshaw4tt” while still being available on other platforms.

More recently, Josh dropped a project “independence to the second power” a project released on 4th of July in 2025 that showcases Josh’s material in a new d&b twist while still keeping his signature emoish sound.

Josh is moreso known nowadays for his performances and organization of people’s events, while occasionally dropping music. He helps with shows mostly around Northern California (San Francisco, Sacramento, Stockton etc) and rarely Los Angeles.
