Josephine Johnny
“Josephine Johnny” was born Johnny Watson in New Orleans Louisiana. He grew up in 3rd Ward on Josephine St. an area known for it’s high crime rate. In the late 1990s he joined Jam Tight Records He is Best known for his summer 2000 release “Workin' Wit Sumthin'” which became a regional hit song with his own signature dance move. The song still plays in Louisiana, and surrounding areas, also his “Josephine dance” was sometimes performed as a touchdown celebration by New Orleans Saints players including: Joe Horn, and Jimmy Graham. Johnny was later confined to a wheelchair after having surgery to remove a tumor on his spinal chord.
