Jonny Chopps is a promising up-and-comer from the Australian underground scene. He began his career in October of 2024 with “Nickname Diane” and released a string of singles in 2025 that helped him garner local acclaim. His second single, “Cooler,” did well on social media and helped Chopps receive some recognition, along with “Slumber,” released just a few months afterward.

His fifth single, “Cognac for Christmas,” did exceptionally well, and has been streamed over 100,000 times by February, 2026. It was shouted out by famous Australian rapper, The Kid Laroi, and is easily Chopp’s most recognisable track to date. Through Instagram, Chopps was able to market himself out from Campbelltown and is receiving attention internationally.
