Mamoru Fujisawa (藤澤 守), known professionally as Joe Hisaishi (久石 譲), is a Japanese composer and musical director.

Born December 6, 1950, in Nakano, Japan, Hisaishi has credits dating back to 1981 and is still very much active in sharing his works with one of his most releases being his 2020 album
“Dream Songs: The Essential Joe Hisaishi”.

Hisaishi’s compositions from his Studio Ghibli collaborations are still very much loved and listened to, to this day.
