Jhung Hoon Kim, also known simply as Jhung, is a pianist and oboist who mixes all of his own music on his phone. At one point, he began to lose interest in music, but during the pandemic, alone and without a clear plan, he decided to record the EP Always the End. Initially conceived as his farewell to music and a “death of his old self,” the project became the launchpad for a rapidly growing career.

Released in May 2022, his debut unexpectedly took off: over 150,000 plays on Spotify in a month and inclusion in editorial playlists. Instead of a “last attempt,” the EP became the beginning of a new journey. Listeners began writing to him that his music had helped them cope with difficult experiences, and Jhung realized that his personal vulnerability had connected him with his audience more deeply than he had expected.

Since then, he’s released the song “NO MORE DISGUISES,” igniting fans' hope for new music.
