JHecz Originally: Hectic – is a Rap/Grime artist from Manchester, UK & has been writing and recording music since a very young age.

By age 11 & in the first year of secondary school, JHecz quickly found a passion for Grime, Rap, freestyling & writing lyrics with friends and began forming small and large gatherings during and after school known as ‘Sets’.


These sets became the birth ground for upcoming artists! Each day new people would show, flaunting new lyrics or diss tracks they have made! Within a matter of years, JHecz & several likeminded artists/friends created home studios and arranged frequent sets in different locations within their Manchester areas, from peoples bedrooms to back-yards sheds, empty spaces / rooms in local youth clubs and more.


By age 15, JHecz performed at the MCFC stadium for around 1000 people and was featured on the ‘Manchester City’s Kickz Mixtape’ along side other well known Manchester artist such as Wrigz, Liquid, SBD, Slyboi & others under the name Hectic.


Since then and over the past decade with many breaks in between, JHecz has created several tracks such as ‘Mad’, ‘Roadside’, ‘Queen’ , ‘Gas’ & more! Including a debut ep which went through many delays including legal and distribution issues which resulted in a 2 year hold on publishing rights due to rights over featured instrumentals. The EP named ‘Mannyfesto’ was eventually released as individual songs through several distributors after over 18 months delays. Each displaying a different variation of energy, style.

With personal projects conflicting with music time, JHecz is passionate for his music with high ambitions of creating more sounds. JHecz will continue to release more music
