Jeniferever was a post-rock/indie band from Uppsala, Sweden, founded in 1996. After years of playing in the local Swedish independent music scene and releasing a number of EPs, Jeniferever released their groundbreaking “Iris” EP, which featured songs named after classic American television episodes (from The Simpsons, Star Trek, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, respectively), but with sophisticated instrumentation and an emotional bandwidth that far surpassed the concept of the record.

After the release of “Iris” the band was signed to Drowned in Sound, where they released their debut album “Choose a Bright Morning.” Over the next few years the band released a number of albums and EPs and eventually moved from a post-rock sound to incorporating influences from pop music, European dance rock, and ambient compositions. Their final album, “Silesia,” featured the hit single, “To the Beat of Our Own Blood,” the release of which preceded their ongoing hiatus, from which their fans remain waiting to hear next steps.

Since their hiatus, Jeniferever members have gone on to work on a number of projects, such as producing the band Leiah’s “Endless” album in concert with Magnus Lindberg from Cult of Luna, and the shoegaze/screamo project “Ştiu Nu Ştiu.”
