Jazz Tha Process

Mohammad “Jazz Tha Process” Hijazi is a Jordan-based multi-dimensional music maker.
Jazz Tha Process is a recording artist, composer, and record producer who incorporates elements of Contemporary R&B, Trap, Post Core, Future Garage and Synthpop to create a fusion-style urban post-modern sound that integrate a wide spectrum of genres.

Jazz Tha Process grew up listening to a variety of music genre including soul, hip-hop, classical, oriental, alternative rock, blues and electronic music, that encouraged him to get into music making at a young age using an old chiptune software a casio keyboard and a cassette recorder, starting in a home studio in Yemen, he developed a mounting interest in synthesizers and sampling and a passion for the process of creating sound. Through extensive research, self-teaching and experimenting with audio, he built a repertoire inspired by alternative and influential musicians across different eras and styles.

After relocating to Jordan, he founded Obsolete, an imprint label and production studio. Under Obsolete he worked with a number of artists to reshape their discourse and redefine the general scene within those genres. In 2015 Jazz Tha Process collaborated with recording artist Kazz AlOmam and produced a 5 track Ep “Dahab” that was released under Obsolete. Jazz Tha Process also released a number of singles online, in addition to producing songs and collaborating with Synaptik.

Jazz Tha Process aims to create a sound that is daring and unconventional to the existing local music scene that could transcend beyond the regional spectrum and into the global sphere. He is currently working on his debut album “Leads To Kabul” scheduled for release in May 2016. Leads to Kabul Incorporates contemporary R&B, electronic and indie styles and could be categorized with the Alt-Trap tag.
