Jayden Yen Dumont (born February 24, 2006), better known by his stage name jaydes (formerly evvls), is an American recording artist, producer, and audio engineer from Tamarac, Florida.

jaydes started off with his distinct Florida-inspired take on the PluggnB genre that rose to popularity in the early 2020s.

jaydes quickly rose to fame in the underground music scene, sharing his first music on SoundCloud in March 2020.

jaydes began to show extreme versatility in his music in late 2021 and on by being able to capture different atmospheres, from hard and uptempo music like his hit single “slugs” and “scam likely” to more ambient and wavy songs like “vivienne” and “hearts”. With even more of an R&B / indie rock sound with angel-like vocals that can be seen in his romanticism EP.

In 2023, jaydes started making music under the moniker mandy. The songs were more focused on the Indie Rock and Punk sound he had been experimenting with, with a lot of the songs using instrumentals by Alex G and American Football.

In 2024, jaydes changed his sound sharply, moving in a more punk-driven direction with Count Up Dracula and Panic. He also said that his favorite artist and idol is GG Allin, the infamous punk rocker known for his deliberately abrasive and grotesque stage performances, where he would do almost anything to provoke people.

In 2025, jaydes kept building on the rock direction he had started on Count Up Dracula and Panic. He also created an alternate account under the name “Nunya” to release the EP whatever.

In 2026, jaydes pushed even further into the rock sound he had been developing since 2024, releasing Yen after a long hiatus following his 2025 arrest.
