Jay Godí is an Alternative R&B artist. He is a songwriter, producer, and entertainer. Jay is latino and was born in Sacramento California in July 1995, Jay Godí began learning music at the age of 10 when he was given an old keyboard by his uncle. His vocal abilities didn’t come until he was 15 and decided he wanted to learn how to sing. Through his teens as he was battling depression and learning to sing he discovered that he wasn’t bad at creating melodies and writing songs. In that time he wrote a song in Spanish about his loneliness called “La Soledad” which helped him heal in those dark times. After graduating from high school, he reached out to labels, went to college to study music, photography, and marketing. Realizing that no one would sign him or respond he decided to take a step forward and research becoming an independent artist. He debut his first single “I Am..” in 2015, but the song didn’t do so well so he moved on and continued building his career thanks to the drive and inspiration he gets from Beyoncé Knowles whose career inspired him to become more than just an entertainer. Now that he is able to create his own music professionally from home, he managed to become an official artist, and work with other producers like Ray Martin Reel whose worked on projects with Drake, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, etc… and Airavata a growing new producer from youtube. Jay Godí will continue to achieve his dreams and rise in the music industry by becoming a household name. He is here to stay.
