Jango UU is a multifaceted half-deaf musician, audio engineer, singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer headquartered in New York City. His repertoire spans an eclectic mix of genres, from cloud rap, trap, hyperpop, industrial hip hop, and alternative R&B to house, funk, new jack swing, and baroque pop, showcasing his dexterity in sonic experimentation and his deft adaptability to various musical styles.

Beginning his musical odyssey in 2016, Jango initially explored music as a creative outlet, drawing significant influence from eminent hip hop artists such as A$AP Rocky, Denzel Curry, KILLY, 88GLAM, Clams Casino, Kasbo, and the revered late XXXTENTACION. A period of four years was dedicated to the honing of his craft, involving prolific songwriting, recording, producing, and engineering, all executed in collaboration with a close-knit group of friends. On February 20th 2020, Jango UU formally embarked on his professional journey, marking his entry into the music industry under the name DJANGO with the release of his debut 3-track work, WIDE AWAKE.

Subsequent to this, he has enriched his discography with three extended play records – 2021’s RAGEPOP, 2022’s LET THEM HOES ROCK, and 2023’s RAGEPOP REIMAGINED, and an array of singles, each piece manifesting his dynamic range and maintaining a consistent uniqueness of voice that is distinctly his own.

In 2024, Jango rebranded from DJANGO to Jango UU, and this came complete with a new sonic identity, one far more industrial and synthetic than the original trap and R&B flavored sounds he played with as DJANGO. With the help of famed Dutch producer Sapjer, this rebrand culminated in The SYNTHROCK CONCEPT V1, which released in September 2024, and TSRCV2, which released at the end of 2025.

Jango UU also has some formal audio engineer credits, best known for his work with Formerly LEN, Boldy James, Chris Patrick, Morgan Gold, and SMOKE WAVY.

Speaking of SMOKE WAVY, him and Jango UU are frequent collaborators, having met in 2019 in upstate New York, and you can and will often find both of them performing together in the NY area.
