Jake Chan, known by his stage name JAKE $ING, is an Asian American music artist who moved to Temple City, California, with his mother and older sister at the age of three.

He broke into the pop scene with his first single TOO YOUNG in 2018, with the title track of the same name.

However, it wasn’t until his 2021 track “Fresh Off the Boat”, where he began to recieve mainstream recognition, being written about in an article for Rolling Stones.

His main source of inspiration comes from friends, family, and personal experiences, which he mentioned briefly in a post in the private Facebook group Subtle Asian Traits.
