Jacob Ezra is a rapper, singer, producer, and music blogger from Vancouver, Canada. Introduced to music at a young age, he eventually fell in love with hip-hop after his Dad burnt a CD for him that included Digital Underground, De La Soul, and PM Dawn. Realizing he wanted to create hip-hop music himself, he began freestyling in a duo with his brother, recording mixtapes. One thing led to another and he had access to better equipment, finally releasing singles on his own. Largely self-produced, his output is a result of years of obsessive dedication to hip-hop music and all that comes along with the art form. Interested in remaining lyrical without sacrificing style, the artist presents a blend of retro and futuristic sounds that draw influence from East Coast hip-hop, grime, electronic, jazz, and more. Aside from releasing his own music, he is also a music writer for renowned blog EARMILK and he owns and operates an independent music company called Roundhouse Music Co., which provides promotion and production for a variety of artists.
