Santiago Rodríguez, professionally Jackires, is an independent artist. Born in La Palma on April 25th 2003 and now based in Tenerife, he fell in love with music ever since he was 8 years old. He would later write his first song at 14 and he hasn’t stopped creating music ever since. He’s inspired by “the main pop girlies” as well as pop culture itself.

His debut album ‘Suppressed’ came out July 7th 2023. In bright synths and dance-y beats, the summer album narrates the act of falling in love with being alive and letting go of what no longer serves one. It spawned 5 singles, including Take Control Of My Life, Friends and Together, among others. The era included the YouTube special The Suppressed Lounge and a Fortnite map The Suppressed Neighborhood.

His sophomore album, ‘Keepsakes’, was released on October 25th 2024. A conceptual album about nostalgia construed over retro pop-rock sounds, Keepsakes proves Jackires’ growing artistic output, evolving into different sounds, concepts and aesthetics but keeping his core: encapsulating the human experience in music.
