Javell Barnes, more commonly known as J Neat, is a Canadian rapper from the Jane and Sheppard area known as Maze Block in North York and is a member of the Maze Blocks Crips.

J Neat made his rap debut on a track called North Korea which is now sitting at over 2.5 million views featuring Burna Bandz. Since then J Neat dropped his debut project in late 2019 titled Neatly Done and follow that with a collab project with SupaWassi titled SupaNeat on May, 2020. To end off a saddening and hectic year, J Neat released his project Lost Soul which displayed J Neat’s heartfelt lyrics, but delivered in a way that is modern with its catchy melodies. Jump to early February in 2021, and J Neat released the highly anticipated Lost Soul Deluxe.
