Matthew Isaiah Carson (born November 14, 2001), professionally known as Izaya Tiji, is an American recording artist and record producer from Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Izaya embarked on his musical journey at the age of 15. His distinctive style of music is often described as avant-garde, ambient, and sombre, reflecting the emotions and experiences of his upbringing. This emotional depth is evident in tracks like “Losing My Mind,” where Izaya’s personal struggles are laid bare. He fearlessly addresses his ongoing battle with schizophrenia in tracks like “2017 (Faces in the Dark),” showcasing his confrontational yet poignant approach to his artistry. Izaya’s creative process is fueled by freestyling and a commitment to his craft, which involves recording a minimum of three songs daily.

In early 2016, Izaya became a member of the now-defunct rap group Slayworld. However, three years later, he made the decision to part ways, citing disparities in the treatment he received from fellow group members online compared to in person.
