Most known for her audiovisual endeavours as part of the iamamiwhoami project, ionnalee is the solo moniker of Swedish singer, songwriter, producer and filmmaker Jonna Lee.

Starting her career releasing more acoustic, folk-inspired albums, Lee dramatically moved to an electronic sound following the launch of the project in 2009. Following the three studio and two live works produced by the group, Lee chose to reignite the flame of her solo work as “a new beginning and a continuation”. Making the jump from co-producer to producer, her re-arrival came in the form of “SAMARITAN”, a “passionate roar about the unattainable idol-worship of female artists”.

Although the lines between iamamiwhoami and ionnalee have begun to blur as time has gone on, there seems to be little signs of the creative output stopping as Lee’s latest offering is the English/Swedish double album CLOSE YOUR EYES/BLUND. The release maintains her signature visually-driven storytelling and independent spirit as it blends intimate, personal content with grand, conceptual narratives.

As well as producing, Lee continues to prove her multiple talents sonically through mixing and mastering, visually through painting and the roles of visual director and creative director, and the running of her independent record label To whom it may concern..
