Homebased is a Nigerian-British independent artist, based in London. He attended Babcock University for his undergraduate degree before moving to the UK to further his education at the University of Sheffield.

The stage name, Homebased, came to be during his undergraduate days, where he was tagged the ‘Jack of all trades, master of all’. He participated in almost every extra-curricular activity, including Music, Dance, Sports , Drama, Martial Arts, Comedy and Fitness.

Homebased’s passion for music started when he was a child at the age of 7 and he has not looked back since. Although, he limited it to family and friends, playing and performing at birthday parties, weddings and occasionally at various Open Mics across London.

He picked up the acoustic guitar in 2017 and self taught himself on Youtube, then he began writing songs at leisure.

His style of music is Afro acoustic which fits into the Afrobeat genre. Most of his songs touches on love, family, children and relationships etc.

He was encouraged to take one of his songs to the studio, which is where his first professional single “Just fine” was born.

He looks forward to expressing himself further though his music and sharing it with a wider audience.
