Hollyn

AKA: Holly Miller Wilson, Holly Miller

Holly Marie Wilson (nee' Miller) was born in 1997 in Waverly, Ohio. Her first step in the spotlight was appearing on Season 12 of American Idol, she was not telavised, and was eliminated before getting an on air appearence. However, this, along with her modest YouTube cover success, was enough to get her noticed by TobyMac of Gotee Records.

Hollyn mentioned the interaction in an interview with Brio Magazine in 2017:

[After attending a TobyMac concert] When I went home, I told my parents, “Wouldn’t it be cool if I worked with TobyMac one day or something?” And then he called my dad two weeks later. It was just a weird thing. He got my dad’s number from a mutual friend. He had been keeping up with my stuff on YouTube.

Her debut self-titled EP would be released on October 16, 2015, after being featured in two tracks on TobyMac’s This is Not a Test, which appeared in August of that year.

Her song “Alone” would rocket her to the Christian Music Scene, scoring the top spot of the Hot Christian charts. And the EP scoring top 10 in the Christian Albums Chart.

Her 2017 debut full-length album: One Way Conversations lived up to expectations, even cracking the Billboard’s 200 chart.

bye, sad girl. a deeply emotional EP would be released in 2019, with an acoustic counterpart coming later that same year.

Hollyn would remain quiet before following up in 2021 with the release of Holy Rebellion. After getting married in 2018, Hollyn welcomed her first child in 2022. Her daughter, whom she affectionately calls ‘little dove’ would be the topic of her 2023 EP My Little Dove.

Hollyn released two projects while in collaboration with the music group Weathrman in 2025 and 2026: Theology of Beauty: Fall & Winter respectively.
