Considered a distinguished musical luminary, Harry Gregson-Williams is a British composer, orchestrator, and conductor.

Born in Chichester, Gregson-Williams learned to read music by the age of four, which led him to tour Europe as a choirboy with the ensemble from the music school of St. John’s College. Being on numerous recordings at the age of 13, Gregson-Williams studied at London’s Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

His career took off as an orchestrator and arranger for composers Richard Harvey and Stanley Myers. His first scores came alive through director Nicolas Roeg’s Full Body Massage and Hotel Paradise. After relocating to Los Angeles, he became composer Hans Zimmer’s disciple, assisting with movies like The Rock and subsequent projects that he is credited with throughout the years.

Gregson-Williams has composed music for some of Hollywood’s most notable films and series, including Gladiator II, Mulan, The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, The Gilded Age, The Martian, Retribution, The Equalizer, Veronica Guerin, Chicken Run, Man on Fire, and The Meg. In addition, he has scored video games like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and the franchise of Metal Gear Solid.

Gregson-Williams has received the BMI Icon Award and the Society of Composers & Lyricists' prestigious Ambassador Award. He has been nominated for a Grammy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Hollywood Music In Media Award, to list a few.

The prolific composer has won a Hollywood Film Award, a BMI Film & TV Award, a Satellite Award, and an International Film Music Critics Award, among others. He has shared his skills as a mentor at the Sundance Composers Lab.
