HappyHappy is a South Dakota-based folk punk project by Evelyn Ryan.

Ryan’s lyrics are incredibly direct, sarcastic, and emotional, dealing with personal problems like depression, suicidal/violent thoughts, alcoholism, and relationship troubles. According to Ryan herself:

Honestly this was my therapist’s idea and it’s gotten way out of hand.

Having released most of her music independently, Zozobra became the first HappyHappy album to be released through a label, Rib Fest Records, in May 2019.
