Gracie Madigan Abrams (born September 7, 1999) is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, who rose to fame for video snippets of her songs released through her Instagram. She’s also the daughter of the film director and composer J.J. Abrams, best known for his work on the Star Wars films, and some episodes of various versions of Star Trek.

In 2019, Abrams signed with Interscope Records, and after having only three tracks publicly available on her SoundCloud: “And She Will Miss You,” “blue,” and “i kinda miss you,” Abrams released her debut track, “Mean It,” alongside an accompanying music video shortly thereafter, with the final release of the year, “Stay,” coming weeks later.

In February 2020 would see the release of “21,” the lead single for Gracie’s debut EP, minor. Abrams would go on to release two more singles, “I miss you, I’m sorry,” and “Long Sleeves,” before minor’s public debut.

Abrams released “Feels Like” in October 2021 as the lead single of her next project. The single was followed by “Rockland,” which released later in October. Abrams' sophomore EP, This Is What It Feels Like, came out into the world on November 12, 2021, with “The Bottom” releasing as a single, accompanied by a music video.

With two EPs and a handful of singles in her discography, Abrams would begin working on her debut studio album, Good Riddance. Abrams officially released three singles for the debut full-length album, “Difficult,” “Where do we go now?,” and “Amelie” Good Riddance before the album released to the public in February 2023.

Abrams would go on to release a deluxe version of Good Riddance in June, which featured, besides all the songs in the original album, the previously released single “Block me out,” as well as three new tracks, “Unsteady,” “405,” and “Two people.”

Following the release of Good Riddance, Abrams would embark on the album’s respective tour, bringing insight to her second studio album. Abrams began teasing The Secret Of Us throughout the tour, playing songs such as “Risk” to welcome fans to her new era. Under a community-given name, “Risk” would become a highly coveted track in Abrams' fan base, and served as the lead single to the album, officially released on May 1, 2024. Following the accumulated following from the lead single, Abrams officially released “Close To You"—a seven-year-old song that was long-awaited by fans—as the second single on June 7th. The full album released on June 21, 2024; however, the era was set to continue with a deluxe confirmed by Abrams during the Toronto, Ontario show on May 21, 2024. The deluxe edition of this album released on October 18, 2024, featuring four new songs and three live versions of songs on The Secret of Us. Of the new songs, three were performed at The Secret Of Us Tour in America that same year.

Abrams and Taylor Swift were together nominated for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for their collaborative efforts on “us.” off Abrams' The Secret of Us.

2025 would only see further growth for Abrams. Continuing her The Secret Of Us Tour throughout Europe, she would slowly begin to tease her next project through a mix of live performances and social media snippets. But what would arguably be one of her biggest moments of the era, following her two previous GRAMMY nominations, would be her first award: the 2025 iHeartRadio Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award.
