gothicwvlff was the solo project of Scarlet Valentine, who now creates under the duo holidayslaughter.

gothicwvlff started as a dark ambient project with three mixtapes releasing from 2022 to 2023. In 2024, it pivoted into noise music as Scarlet underwent familial and romantic abuse, wishing to “exorcise the noise in their head”. This culminated in airing dirty laundry, shortly followed by maladaptive nightmares.

In 2025, Scarlet sought out to alleviate the weight of their output by releasing morgue princess, a concept album about two OCs, and RUINESS, a politically charged call to never lose hope. Shortly after, all official platforms has would go completely black and display the message:

a shining future will always be waiting for you.

On July 2nd, 2027, gothicwvlff was pronounced dead with the release of holidayslaughter’s debut single, “starlight”. The gothicwvlff discography has been uploaded to the Internet Archive by Scarlet.
