Gksttar grew up in Inhagoia, a small cottage in the suburbs of Maputo, Mozambique.

He started rhyming with friends in school battles in 2010. Later on, started recording with Phiamesta under Young Jamaican Records, and has released several solo and collabo projects.

In 2018, released his first EP entitled I Just Wanna Be Heard, under WB Records, in which he features several upcoming artists.

He continued his journey working with inhouse rappers and producers such as Dockas Baby, TR, Chrazy Rapper & FB Tygah just to name a few. Later that year (2018) he released ‘King’, a freestyle which kickstarted his freestyle series.

In 2019, Gk released ‘Vale à Pena!?’, the first single for his upcoming Mixtape ‘More Than Music’ which only came to be concluded in 2021 under Dreams Over Money Music, GkSttar current label.

Following a freestyle session at Xabuka Industrial, GkSttar linked up with Gun Black to release a single named ‘Máquinas De Rimas’ where the two rappers trade bars in a length verse. This single escalated to a6 track EP of the same name, with acclaimed features of the Swaziland native Jazz P, fellow Gun Black Bill Tong member Ell Brain, as well as fellow DOMM Cardinal Troublemaker. The single Máquinas de Rimas received positive feedback which allowed the self-acclaimed Rhyming Machines Duo to release a Video for it.

GkSttar continues to work with different artists of the Industry to bring up the Hip-Hop culture back to its roots. He’s proved to be one of the rappers to be on the lookout for. Definitely!
