Geotic is another musical alias of Los Angeles electronic musician Will Wiesenfeld aka Baths. Wiesenfeld has been using the Geotic moniker since 2008, releasing mostly ambient and “passive listening stuff,” as he himself calls it, with most of the albums only being released in digital form.

Vocals and lyrics have been present in some Geotic pieces since the 2014 album Various/Singles, but they have been made especially apparent in the 2018 album Traversa. While in this respect, the distinction between Baths and Geotic is getting harder, Geotic’s approach to sound and songwriting is still noticeably more airy and smooth than any other musical projects Wiesenfeld is involved in.
