Geoff Berner reportedly started in the Vancouver suburb of Kerrisdale. Apparently suggestible when drunk, Geoff learned to play the accordion after someone at a party asked him why he didn’t. He then brought his accordion skills to the punk band “Terror of Tiny Town” (because why not). After being deported to Norway in 2000, Geoff went on to study Klezmer under masters in Romania.
