GAUSH

Gauresh Kale, mononymously known as GAUSH, is a hip-hop artist and rapper from Navi Mumbai, India.

GAUSH debuted in 2017 and began uploading music online in 2020 with a remix of MC Stan’s “Astagfirullah”. He rose to prominence after winning the 1 Minute Rap Challenge Season 2 hosted by Rohan Cariappa for his song “21 Freestyle” in 2020.

In February 2021, GAUSH entered the India Book of Records for rapping the same verse forwards and backwards three times in his track “Spit It Back”. Later that year, in September, he released “22 Freestyle” from his Freestyle Series, setting the record as the fastest Indian rapper by delivering 388 words per minute, officially recognized by the India Book of Records.

In November 2021, he secured first place in the rap category of Season 5 of Breezer Vivid Shuffle, one of India’s premier hip-hop competitions.

In January 2022, GAUSH joined the Indian hip-hop label Bantai Records and released his first song on the label, “Future Superstar”, which trended on YouTube. By July 2022, he left Bantai Records, announcing via Instagram that he planned to pursue further studies abroad.

In October 2023, GAUSH appeared as a contestant on MTV Hustle 03. His rap battle with fellow contestant Uday attracted significant attention and led to GAUSH’s elimination. The rivalry reignited in February 2025 when GAUSH dissed Uday in his feature verse on the track “Shanti”, leading to a series of back-and-forth diss tracks. Among them was “25 Freestyle”, where GAUSH broke his own record by rapping 490 words per minute, reclaiming the title of fastest rapper in India.
