GARZI

AKA: Chris Garzon, Yung Garzi, Christopher Garzon

Christopher Garzon (born May 24, 1997), better known by the stage name GARZI (formerly Yung Garzi), is a singer and rapper from Miami, Florida.

His youth influences include Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Sleeping with Sirens, and other rock artists, but he didn’t listen to rap until he came upon the likes of artists like Yung Simmie and Denzel Curry.

Starting off by making emo rap music, GARZI released his first official song “Bury Me in Designer” featuring ‘til death on October 13, 2017. He would instantly start gaining attention, which he would follow up with more releases, such as 2018’s “2Little2Late” and “27club.”

On June 26, 2018, GARZI released what would become his biggest song to date, “Demonstrate.” Produced by Nick Mira and Taz Taylor, this song would catapult GARZI into stardom. Just under a year later on April 5, 2019, GARZI released his debut studio EP, nothing to something.

Due to his overwhelming success, GARZI signed his first record deal on May 31, 2019, partnering with Capitol Records. GARZI only released two singles under Capitol, those being “Higher” and “My Temptations,” as he parted ways with the label by the end of 2019. He also rebranded from ‘Yung Garzi’ to just ‘GARZI’ during his time with Capitol.

He later signed to Big Noise Music in the beginning of of 2020. His first song under Big Noise, “SICK OF ME” with Travis Barker, was released on April 17, 2020, which was closely followed by his second studio EP, STUCK IN THE MIDDLE, on May 8, 2020. This EP would be notable as it marked the true beginning of GARZI’s transition from making emo rap to more alternative rock music.

On February 25, 2022, GARZI released “MESS” featuring Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens. This song is notable as GARZI has noted Sleeping with Sirens as one of his earlier influences.

On December 2, 2022, GARZI released his third studio EP, Careful What You Wish For. This project was released in partnership with Outlast Records and featured notable songs such as “MESS.”

In 2023, GARZI signed a brief record deal with the legendary rock-based label, Sumerian Records. Under Sumerian, GARZI released fan-favorite songs, such as “GrowingUp” with Memphis May Fire, “Much Better” and “DRAG.”

As of 2025, GARZI has not slowed down on releases. With May’s CUTS and October’s The Wall, the future looks very bright for GARZI as he dives further into the rock world.
