G. Twilight (born Michael Washington) is a rapper, songwriter, producer and author based in Detroit, Michigan. He is primarily known for lyrical cautionary tales in the trap, gangsta rap and pimphop genres, often depicting the urban decay and underworld life of Detroit. In addition to his performance under the “G. Twilight” stage name, he also writes romantic short stories under the pen name “Twilliam Shakespeare” and explores religious or conscious themes under the name “Alshafaq El-Bey”.
