Fresh x Reckless
The New Orleans four man Supergroup Fresh X Reckless are on a mission to bring their blend of HipHop, R&B, & Bounce rap to the world stage.
Comprised of 18-year-old Travon “T-Daddie” Mitchell , 19-year-old David “Deelö” Rayford 20-year-old Jamel “Junya” Joseph and 21-year-old Terron “Tee” Champagne. Fresh X Reckless all hail from New Orleans. Growing up crumbled post Katrina environment motivated them to aspire for more. Each member of The Fresh X Reckless brings a little something different to the Table, {also the name of dance move they’ve gone viral multiple times for doing on social media}. They have plenty in common, including musical roots. Both of Deelö’s parents danced and performed, T-Daddie’s mother was a singer and Junya sung in the church choir and also played drums in his high school band with Tee. With a crown of colorful dreadlocks, jewelry draping his neck and ears and embellished jacket, jeans and kicks, Deelö is hard to miss. He can’t remember a time when he didn’t dream of stardom and has been singing and dancing in talent shows since he was little, often winning the top prize for his rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. The choreographer of the crew, Deelö played drums in both marching and jazz band in junior high and met T-Daddie while they were both enrolled in school at Kipp Believe College Prep. The pair bonded over their love for skateboarding, music and dancing and decided to form a group.
The popularity they gained with the Famous Teens evolved into them pursuing a music career to hopefully capitalize on their local notoriety. With T Daddie and Deelo poppin in the city on the Eastside, and Tee and Junya being know on the Westside they combined forces and talents and created Fresh X Reckless.
It’s their live show that truly impresses. Watching Deelö and T-Daddie move, it’s hard to miss the Chris Brown influence, while Jamel’s presence, confidence, and wackiness brings to mind a young ShockG. Tee is the more laid back reserve member who like T.Daddie is a man of few words but when they speak it’s meaningful. Fresh & Reckless are currently touring to promote their single “Drippin’ So Hard” which also has a dance with the same name and a Dance challenge associated with the record.their first official single since signing with Rocnation/Interscope earlier this year. The song is a testament to what they do that has captivated an internet audience around the world. For Fresh & Reckless, making music and performing has been their means to rise above the gritty New Orleans neighborhoods where they were raised. The persistent presence on the internet and success at going viral shows the focus and determination that’s put them on the road.
“GOD has something written for them,” Zül-Qarnaįn says. “They have individual gifts but when they combine they form a figure four of undeniable talent that captivates any audience“.
