Former Bride is an alternative synth project/side band by American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jacob Bunton. Their sound is heavily inspired by both 80s synth and new wave, and more modern vaporwave. It’s somewhat similar to the style of one of his other bands, Neon Coven, and vastly different from most of his other music under his own name or with another group.

The name has only been used for a few releases in 2018 and 2019. Since the final release, the EP Something Happened On the Way To Forever, the band has been radio silent except for a few Instagram posts. Every year, they post a new poem on July 23rd, the day of their last consistent post in 2019.

It’s currently unclear whether or not the project is intending to release any new music, or if it’s only going to be semi-active on social media from now on.
